Chomps Snack Sticks – product review

October 28, 2017

“Busy” does not even begin to describe my lifestyle these days. Between homeschooling, running two businesses, and treating an autoimmune disease, I am always on the go. When I shop for my family, healthy snacks that we can eat on the run are a must. Healthy and convenient don’t always go hand in hand, and most of the time there is a lot of prep work involved. Thankfully, that is not the case with Chomps Snack Sticks! …

Rainbow Unicorn Art Party

September 13, 2017

It’s that time again. Time to celebrate the birth of my baby girls. I can not believe another year has come and gone. This time of year is always bittersweet for Momma. I wish I could bottle them up and keep them little forever. At the same time, I really look forward to these parties. Giving my princesses a special day just for them brings me so much joy!…

The Mystery of The Lost Recipe – AIP White Chicken Lasagna

June 4, 2016

IMG_0276

We are a book loving family. My kids could entertain themselves all day long in an empty room with a stack full of books. I was so excited when I found this book by Healthy Kids Publishing. The Mystery of The Lost Recipe is a cute story about a town restaurant that has lost it’s special Lasagna recipe. Some local kids take it upon themselves to investigate and locate the recipe for the owner. This fun story encourages healthy eating, as well as exercise. There is nothing better than finding a good book that reinforces exactly what I am teaching my little ones.

Motherhood

May 23, 2016

DSC_0206

I was born into a very close knit family. Not just my immediate family, my entire extended family. Since before I can remember, the whole family would get together for every little occasion. Every holiday, birthday, graduation, or just because. It never made sense to me when kids in school talked about never doing anything with their families. I just couldn’t wrap my head around that. Because I am 100% certain that if families didn’t exist, and I had to choose who I would spend my life growing up with, these people are the ones I would choose every. single. time. My family is my tribe….

Gluten Free S’mores Trail Mix

October 19, 2015

Gluten Free Smores Trail Mix

This recipe is part two of my Indoor S’mores series! Actually, you could hardly call this a recipe. Aside from making the Graham Crackers, this one is pretty much a no-brainer. Just toss them in a bowl with some mini marshmallows and chopped up Hershey’s and call it a day. This is by far the easiest way to get all the flavor of a s’more without the sticky gooey mess. Perfect for the kids. In fact, just hand over the ingredients and let them mix this one up themselves. Easy as 123.

Gluten Free S’more Bites

October 16, 2015

Gluten Free S'more Bites

After successful completion of my Gluten Free and Paleo Graham Crackers, I was finally able to go s’more crazy! While I firmly believe there is no time better spent than a cool fall evening around the fire with your family roasting marshmallows, sometimes you just need a s’more in a jiffy. I’ve put together a 4-part series of fun treats that bring the s’mores indoors. …
