Two weeks ago I shared my testimony here on the blog. I was completely overwhelmed by the response I received, and by how many people my message has reached. Several of you have written to me of similar experiences, thanking me for sharing some hope for a better future. It touches my heart to know that the Lord is working through me to reach out to others and make a positive impact on their lives. Just knowing that I have helped one person makes everything I do worth while. I am so blessed and excited to witness this growth in my ministry.

The road to healing can be quite a bumpy one. I have my good days, and my not so good days. Sometimes I have to take a little time to focus my energy on getting well. And sometimes this means setting my blog aside in order to do so. If you are a regular follower, I am sure you’ve noticed this over the past couple of months.

Easter weekend, I was unfortunate enough to have gotten food poisoning, which triggered a flare up of my Crohn’s disease. I stuck to my strict diet, ate lots of gut-healing foods, and even eliminated some other possible inflammatory foods. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to regain control. I was losing so much blood that by July my hemoglobin had dropped to a 7. I was very weak, and the shortness of breath made walking across my house a difficult task.

After a trip to the emergency room, I received a blood transfusion and was kept for a week for further testing. I was released with a prescription to sterdoids, which I was on for a few weeks. A temporary bandaid. As soon as I started to taper off, my symptoms started to return. I was feeling very discouraged and defeated. I had been living and thriving on this diet for 3 years, and now all of a sudden it doesn’t work anymore? I felt as though everything I had put my time and energy and passion into was all a waste.

Then the Lord opened a door. My sister in law told me about a Chiropractor near by who had Crohns disease and was cured! Obviously, I had to meet this Doctor and hear his story. I went to his office and met him and his staff, and immediately knew I was where I needed to be. He shared his testimony, taught me about the cause of our illness, and prayed with me and my family. He explained how our body functions through our spine, and that injuries and sublaxations cause interference with the messages our brain is sending to the rest of our body. They took some x-rays of my spine, and found that I have a lot of years worth of damage. With TWO curves in m spine, and a lack of a curve in m neck, there’s no wonder I’m having health problems!

Getting our spine adjusted removes the interference and allows our body to heal properly. This takes time and repetition. No matter how well I was eating, the messages were not getting from my brain to my gut as they should. Again, I was only treating my symptoms. Whether I was in remission or not, the disease was still there. (You can read more about Dr. Fuller and his practice here.)

I feel as though I have found the missing piece to the puzzle. My miracle is now in full view. Through prayer and devotion, eating REAL food, and removing the interference in my spine, I have faith and believe that the Lord will completely cure me of disease.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your support, and your patience with me in my absence. Thank you for remaining loyal followers when my blog was placed on the back burner.
